Generations of Faithfulness: A Reflection on Grandparents' Day and Our Growing Mission

This month’s Grandparents' Day reminded us of something deeply true about our work at Classical Roots Christian School: God’s design for the nuclear family is the backbone of a flourishing civilization. The role our school plays in strengthening families is a blessing to each of our staff members and school board members. With more than 250 grandparents and parents filling our campus our special family celebration in mid November, we witnessed the beauty of God’s design for the family. Their presence affirmed what we believe wholeheartedly: education is more than academics; it is discipleship.

A Generational Mission

As we celebrated together, our guests heard the same message spoken in the video above:

“Every lesson, every conversation, and every book shapes not only the mind but the soul; guiding children to know and love the Lord.”

Grandparents understand this deeply. Their faithfulness, prayers, and example shape the next generation long before a child ever steps into a classroom. They are living pictures of Psalm 1, trees planted by streams of water, bearing fruit in season, steady and rooted. Their influence strengthens the homes, churches, and communities our students will someday lead.

Looking Ahead: Launching Our Logic School

During the event, our founder, Caleb Suciu, shared the vision for next year’s expansion: the opening of our middle school, known in classical education as Logic School. This tender stage of adolescence is where identity is being formed, questions are being asked, and convictions begin to solidify. Classical education speaks directly to this moment.

Our Logic School will be intentionally and radically different than the progressive model of middle school that comes to mind for most Americans. The logic school at CRCS will be designed to guide students to build their identity on Christ as they learn to reason with clarity, love truth courageously, and pursue virtue wholeheartedly. We will teach students to reason well and articulate their ideas with clarity. Students will learn to shape their thoughts with wisdom, build strong arguments, and use formal logic to defend truth.

During grandparents' day, CRCS leadership shared how humbled we are by how God has provided faithful donors, dedicated staff, and a growing community of families who believe in forming students to love what is true, good, and beautiful. This year, 121 students are being shaped with eternal purpose. Countless lives ahead will be touched by their faith and their character.
