As we close the chapter on our inaugural year at Classical Roots Christian School, we find ourselves filled with a profound sense of gratitude, and excitement.
A Year of Firsts: Reflecting on Our Journey
This past year has been a remarkable journey for Classical Roots Christian School. From the very first day, we embarked on an adventure full of new experiences, challenges, and growth. As a newly established Hybrid Classical Christian school, we set out with a vision to create a nurturing environment where faith and learning thrive hand in hand, in partnership with parents.
Academic Achievements: Our students have excelled academically, showing incredible growth and commitment to their studies. With small class sizes and the partnership of parents, we were able to determine each child’s unique learning style and encourage their progress. This has resulted in classroom environments where students are engaged learners fostering deeper connections and greater academic and personal growth.
Agency Matters: Over the last six weeks of our school year, our students participated in an enriching Personal Agency Development Program designed to empower them to take charge of their own learning journey. Each student selected a topic of personal interest, set specific learning goals, and embarked on a path of self-directed exploration. The program culminated in a school-wide presentation where students proudly showcased their newfound knowledge and skills to the school community and their families. This initiative not only fostered a sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for learning but also highlighted the diverse talents and passions within our student body.
Setting a Foundation: Establishing a school with an entirely new staff has been an exciting journey and testament to God’s provision, marked by our shared commitment to learning and implementing the principles of classical education. Our dedicated staff have shown an incredible commitment to our students. We continue to make strides in learning the nuances of educating in the classical Christian model. This collective dedication to the classical Christian model has not only enriched our teaching practices but also fostered a cohesive community eager to cultivate a love for wisdom and virtue in our students. Together, we are building a legacy of excellence and integrity that we hope will inspire and impact our students for a lifetime.
Looking Ahead: A New Chapter Begins
As we look forward to the upcoming school year, our hearts are filled with excitement and anticipation. We are committed to building on the successes of our first year and to providing even more opportunities for our students to grow academically, spiritually, and personally.
Building a Community: One of our primary goals in the coming year is to foster a greater sense of community among students, staff, and parents. Looking back, it’s heartwarming to see the bonds that have formed. We are excited to see continued growth in this area with a new plan for increased parent engagement and more opportunities for families to connect with each other. What an incredible opportunity we have to shape and form the very culture of the school itself. We are excited to invite our wonderful community of families into this process with intentionality to set a standard of excellence in personal conduct and service to others.
Welcoming New Families: We will be welcoming dozens of new students to Classical Roots Christian School this fall, in addition to our returning students. As we plan for this increase in student population, we are finalizing plans to utilize our classroom spaces most efficiently, hiring additional staff, and fine tuning our daily schedule, lesson plans and curriculum pacing. We still have a few spaces left for the coming school year and are eager to welcome new students and their families into our community.
